10/2023: Jack Finn Named Director of Operations for MCSC

[October, 2023]

The Mason City Soccer Club has appointed Jack Finn as their Director of Operations. Jack has been with the club since 2022 and originally was brought on as one of our Directors of Coaching. He oversaw and coached all of our boys teams during the 2022 Fall season.

Many of you may already know Jack, but for those of you who don't, here is some information about him!

About Me
Jack is originally from Clear Lake, IA and moved back to the area in 2021. Jack graduated from the University of Northern Iowa with a degree in Business and currently works in IT. He met his wife, Carney, while they were in high school. Carney is a nurse at MercyOne in Mason City. They have a one year old boy, Cahler.


Coaching Experience
Jack started his coaching career as an assistant coach for the Clear Lake Boy’s High School in 2016-2018. He was the assistant coach for the Cedar Valley Soccer Club Boy’s U18 team for 3 years and was heavily involved in the development of their Academy program and players ages U6-U8. During his coaching career, Jack has helped advance many players to the college level of soccer.

Soccer Experience
Jack played on multiple traveling teams throughout North Iowa growing up, eventually playing for the U18’s at Cedar Valley. He was a 4-year high school starter and captained his senior year. After high school, Jack signed with the Men’s team at North Iowa Area Community College where he continued to find success. He was the second leading scorer for their 2015 team. After NIACC, Jack went onto the University of Northern Iowa where he was involved with the UNI Men’s Club Soccer Team. He was also a US Soccer registered referee for 6 years.

Fun Fact
During his free time, you can find Jack watching the English Premier League supporting the Tottenham Hotspurs or rooting AGAINST Manchester United! Jack's family lives in Mason City with their two dogs (Nella & Winnie) and are heavily involved with the community. He is also an avid piano player and live music connoisseur.
